So Ive got a problem with my desktop. when I go to boot the - TopicsExpress

So Ive got a problem with my desktop. when I go to boot the system: the fans will start, all lights & functions will turn on. Now after anywhere from 5-15 seconds it will just shut down on its own. Whats odd is if it passes this phase of booting (its taken anywhere from 5 minutes - 7+ hours) itll work for weeks even months with out any problems. As well the system doesnt give a beep code for any start up cycle. If anyone has any tips &/or advice it would be appreciated. P.s. I know geek squad is always an option but before I go through the trouble I figured Id ask anyone whom has had any similar problems/solutions
