So, Ive just arrived home after midnight on a Wednesday after what seems to be my last ever match as a coach of a womens football team. After 4 years as the senior womens coach at Runaway Bay it all ended with my Division 1 ladies going down 1-0 in a preliminary final after 9 weeks without a loss to come from 3rd from bottom to finish 4th. I cannot express just how proud I am of the effort from the ladies this season to come together so strongly at the end of the season. Im so proud of you all and am so appreciative of your patience while I learned how to be a coach. I just want to thank each and every one of the ladies I have had the pleasure of coaching over this period, you have given me some amazing memories to go along with the minor heart attacks you also occasionally made me endure. I cannot thank you enough for the time you have put in to be apart of my teams.. After much work and effort we managed to have two great teams at Runaway Bay this year who were more like a large squad of one team rather than the two separate teams we have had in the past. I couldnt have asked for a better way to end the womens football at Runaway Bay, so once again, thank you.
