So Ive never posted to this page before, but as a mother I am outraged... When do we stop being parents.. Again, I am placed in an awful situation because my son has a heart of gold and believes we can help everyone.. The boy is 18 and apparently his parents feel they have no more obligation to him as parents.. It would be one thing if this child had a high school diploma... A job or was at all self sustainable.. Well then okay, maybe... Hes not though.. He hasnt even graduated!!! As a mother of a child turning 18, I just cant see letting my son alone in a city to fret for himself.. I am saddened by this.. We have gotten him signed up for the overflow for tonight,but what else can I do to help this boy get stabilized and what is your take on a child turning 18 and what we do as parents, from that point on?
