So Ive sat here for an hour trying to decide exactly how I wanna word this. I am completely prepared for any backlash that comes from it. So here we go... Im glad that Facebook is a forum for people to express their opinion. And I am totally for that, and respect others opinions (as long as they are informed ones). But I caution you to be careful with your words at this time. Because those of US who have suffered from depression and/or some form of mental illness, can be very sensitive to some of the things Ive read. I know you cant always understand what WE go through, but WE will be the first to tell you that WE are glad you cant. Because of its horrible nature, WE would never wish for any of you to have to go through what WE have gone through in our personal battles. But one word that has really hit me hard is coward. You have NO idea how dark that hole is. You have NO idea how hard it can be to fight. You have NO how hard it can be to even find a reason to fight. I was lucky enough to find ONE reason to fight. And I have no problem admitting to all of you, that that one reason, was worth fighting for, and saved my life!!! Not everyone of US is lucky enough to find that reason. So just be careful. So if youre ever REALLY interested in what goes on in OUR minds and OUR hearts as we battle these demons....let me know. We can have a cup of coffee and talk about it. My life is an open book. Because sharing just may save someones life. So again I ask, on behalf of all of US...please be careful with you thoughts and opinions. Thank you.
