So Ive see this challenge going around and I hope it takes over Facebook like wild fire (just like the #ALS one). With all the disconcerting events happening in our world wouldnt it be be nice to see a Waterfall of Gratitude on your newsfeed every day instead of news about #ISIS, #humantrafficking, #FergusonMO, and everything else. Sometimes, amidst all the tumults of life, its hard to see the good. But they are there surrounding us in plain sight. There is so much to be thankful for every day but the challenge was to list 3 for 5 days so here I go: Day 1 of 5: I AM GRATEFUL 1. To the Father. How does one quantify the blessings that come from the Father? And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. - John 1:16 [NKJV] The blessing received. It is GRACE; the good will of God towards us, and the good work of God in us. God’s good will works the good work, and then the good work qualifies us for further tokens of his good will. As the cistern receives water from the fulness of the fountain, the branches sap from the fulness of the root, and the air light from the fulness of the sun, so we receive GRACE from the fulness of Christ. [from Matthew Henrys Commentary] 2. For my Husband whos the cream in my coffee, the salt in my stew, the starch in my collar, the lace in my shoe... (Thanks Nat King Cole ;) ). He calls me Beautiful like its my name. 3. For Nina, Logan, and Ty because life is better, so much better with them in it. They are LOVE personified. They are Gods GRACE received. They are mine.
