So Ive watched Fargo the television show. Now, Im a huge fan of the original film by the gods know as the Coen Brothers. It is held dear in my heart. Going into this show I was very skeptical and didnt know what to expect. Heres what I think... Its better. THATS RIGHT. I SAID IT. BETTER. How is this possible? Well, not only was it very respectable in the tone of the movie. Not only did it have wonderful homages and the same dark comedy element. But most importantly, it was its own thing. Completely different. I thought it was just a remake of the original, but its actually a sequel. The writing and story telling is on par with Vince Gilligans work from breaking bad. I know... That is indeed a bold statement. But true. The show was an insane snowy circus show. When you think it couldnt get more ridiculous... It does... Way more. And I mean that in a vet positive way. It fast, relentless in its actions, hilarious, and downright disturbing. But the best part of the show is its incredible cast. Particularly Billy Bob Thorton as the villain. Outstanding. 10/10
