So, Jessica has been in Kingston all week caring for her father who has been very sick and my little 10 year old daughter, Carley Quinn, has taken it upon herself to be daddys helper and to fill in for mommy as best as possible. So, we have done a lot of cooking together, dancing in the kitchen as we do (I am not sure I get to do thats often with mommy, but Quinzelle thought it was so important that she had to borrow mommys high heels to do it right), and has been a delight all week. My favorite moment was the other day when she heard me on the phone at CitiHope say I needed to check my calendar to see if I could make a meeting happen. Without any prompting, she grabbed my iPad, unlocked it, pulled up my calendar and said in a respectful voice: things look wide open for the remainder of November, sir. I thanked her and suppressed a giggle. Now my boys are always awesome every time mommy is away or sick. Xan could run the house without me with excellence to be truthful, but it is a heart warming thing to see my princess becoming the gracious and noble queen she is destined to be.
