So Jonas is out of surgery!!! Lots was done.... - Fundoplication (stomach wrapped around esophagus) - Pyloroplasty (hard to explain) - Umbilical hernia repair (which turned out to be more complicated than expected) - Larynx Fixed (This was unexpected and hard to explain with out pictures) He is having a hard time recovering. But wouldnt you be?!?! I havent seen him yet but I have been told that he will be sent to the PICU soon and that he is mad as a hornet! They will probably give him some sedatives over night and pain meds to keep him as comfortable as possible. So the prayer now is swift and safe recovery. We have to hold dialysis so it makes things a bit more complicated for him. They will hold feeds and limit fluids for a couple of days so he doesnt get too puffy and get fluid overload. He will most likely be in PICU for a couple of days. We really pray his airway will be safe and infection stays clear away from him. Thank you all again for continued prayer. Words cannot express our appreciation for that. It is by far the best thing you can do.
