So Kant says you must act morally in each instance.. So if murder is wrong it is always wrong to murder someone, even if say the person is Hitler and it would conceivably prevent many more murders.. Buddha, I believe, says that to prevent greater violence its ok to inflict violence in a single situation. That is if doing something violent is going to prevent greater wrong on more people lets say, it is warranted and justified. Classic example, just something bouncing around in my noggin. Wondering what people think of that, particularly my friends who take to the streets... Its a weird problem you know--figuring out whats right and whats wrong, whats relative and whats not..
