So Kat went to the movies last night and her phone was stolen. - TopicsExpress

So Kat went to the movies last night and her phone was stolen. Though with a full battery it was suddenly offline and they couldnt call it. A police officer was on sight she filed a report. I turned on the locator and waited. At around 250 this afternoon the locator went off. I called the police and after getting the serial number from sprint they said that an officer would go to the location with me to retrieve the device. It was a house and a tiny Aztec descent old woman first answer the door. I was very thankful that the officer spoke Spanish, because even the other woman claimed to no speak English. When asked about the phone they claimed they found it. I then asked why they didnt call the notification on the phone to call me. They dodged that question and stated the phone was with her husband in his car. I stated that the locator said it was at the house. They then went inside and brought back out the phone with no case. When I asked about the case she claimed it had none. The phone was also turned off. Luckily after turning it back on we quickly identified it was my phone. As for their story even the officer wasnt buying their story by his comments after the incident and was quite happy that they were so cooperate. Usually the story is its with my husband who gave it to his brother who gave it to his cousin and sold it. He says the locator app has solved a lot of technology crimes.
