So Little C had a half day in-school suspension today for scratching a boy in her reading group yesterday. Without getting into too many details - we are both *very* clear that scratching/harming other students is UNACCEPTABLE. But, after a brief phone call explaining that Little C had already served her time (before I even knew there was an incident) I decided myself, that because of the severity of the punishment, an in-person conversation was necessary. I did not ACT FOOLISH, GUYS, and I went in expecting a professional conversation. The principal, however, decided to take the dismissive, condescending, defensive, and unprofessional route, where because I said was the answer to every question I had, and I left the meeting wishing I had kicked a hole through his chest. After discussing the incident with Little C, my take-away is this: we absolutely *have* to have our kids backs and they have to know it. You may think these ppl have your childs best interests in mind, but there is a good chance that even *they* arent who you think they are and sometimes, they are just dead. damn. wrong. #LittleC4Life
