So, Miriam Behan is our narrator for the weeks walk (there may be judicious editing as the week progresses and the blisters multiply!): Early Sunday morning saw the group of six walkers from AHC meeting in Dublin airport. Arrived in Biarritz after an uneventful flight apart from the turbulent landing. A slightly dodgy journey in a taxi found us in the beautiful quaint citadel of st jean pied de port beneath the Pyrenees mountains. Cloudy weather has brought smiles to our faces as we approach what could be our most difficult day tomorrow. We have decided to go an alternative route which is less treacherous hopefully than the more travelled route. Typical of AHC people to try something new! Lets hope we dont get lost and end up on top of the Pyrenees anyway.
