So, Monday afternoon we have a message on our home phone from the IRS. Very broken and in a foreign accent. Could not make out what he was saying only that his name was Jason. So today I called the number back and apparently we have not been paying all our taxes. He said we had been willfully not paying our taxes and trying to defraud the IRS. He went on to say that we could have a Lien against our home, cars and assets. He said we owed over $6,000 In unpaid taxes. Then he said the police would be at my home to arrest me when I got home. So I asked him exactly what had we done! He said we had been using the lower amount on our W-2s to figure our taxes! Of course when I explained that we had a professional to do our taxes he left that alone. So ladies and gents take heed: #1 the IRS will not call you they will mail you a letter #2 the IRS does not threaten to send the Police to you house #3 even the IRS is not that naive Still waiting on the PO-Po to show up. He was waiting for me to offer to pay via credit card or debit card. Didnt fall for it !!!! Dont you fall for it either!!! Just in case ......any family and friends got Bail money?
