So Narayanamurthy said in 2011-12 that he was retiring because in India leaders in Politics and Industry keep clinging to their seats and one must give a chance to younger and brighter guys. When asked why a professional from within cannot lead but only the founding members were becoming CEOs in succession, he said that was the convention. After the last of the founding members had his chance, he made a U turn last year and came back, this time along with his son, and in the meanwhile one professional after the other in the senior team kept on leaving the company. Now he has found another professional (from outside) to lead the company when he is going to step down (again) until we know whether he will come for his version 3.0. In the meanwhile, the homegrown professionals who left or still did not leave remain as Dhobi ka... Na ghar ka...Na ghat ka.. Sounds familiar!
