So, Non-Floridians and/or Floridians whove never lived through a hurricane tend to have the following as a supply list: gassed up cars, batteries, bottled water and nonpersihable food for people and pets for 7-10 days. fully charged cell phones and extra batteries, 2 weeks clean laundry stashed in a closet in a vaccuum sealed bag, candles. matches, LED lanterns, emergency medical kits and shotgun. Floridians who HAVE survived a few (says this Andrew survivor) tend to do the car/batteries/water thing. And then...a generator, vodka, cooler full of beer and beach towels. Dont ask me why the beach towels, I jsut see them all the time. Oh, and after the 3rd hurricane of the season? Its basically down to the vodka and beach *chairs*.
