So, OUR Mountain Lion is still hanging out not a block away from us guys and gals. JUST heard all sorts of commotion out there, the deer were huffing and bounding around all over the place, 2 eagles were circling over head, the other birds were squawking like no tomorrow and I THOUGHT the CRIES were that of a small child or a LAMB; as did Paul who came running from his direction as I jetted out of the camper…… we investigated the situation via visual of all I described above as well as sound; and he went to get his rifle while I searched the thicket with the binocs to see what I could SEE. NOTHING is what I COULD see as far as a lion and a lamb in duress; but the whole of the valley was aware a killing was i the makin…. and WE thought it was a lamb so we wanted to HELP IT…. not get in the way of nature per se….. plenty of good eatin in the forest without eating live stock….. When Paul returned with his rifle he head straight down the hill as I stayed on the ledge to direct him should I see anything; otherwise he was following the cries. He states he was able to come within 20 foot of the cougar who was playing with a fawn, trying to entice MOMMA into the thicket whom I WAS watching across the way huffing and running around like a wild woman for help….. he shot over his head, and fawn ran one way and lion the other….. SO he/she is still here folks; we are debating now whether a he or she; as the female cougar is the hunter…and clearly shes not hunting HUMAN…. as stated the pickings are MANY here….. but, shes got herself camped out not a block away from us guys….bet she was watching us at the campfire last night; bless her heart. Well I pray she finds some food; and moves on soon; Ill do a better job paying attention tonight; she must still have another message for me…eh? LOVE YOU ALL Either that or shes her to end my life since I was begging god to let me stay and not die from the cancer….teehee maybe this is my new way out guys…. teehee JUST JOKIN but hey ya never know…..
