So....Obviously I did not want to take this route but it has come to that. On Oct 3rd I lost the keys to the truck while I was moving. I ended up having to get the truck towed to the dealership to have keys made. It cost us $ we didnt have and was extremely stressful considering everything else going on. I reached out a fb friend who owns a towing company to see if they could help me. He sent his son and only charged me $65 to tow the truck which I was very grateful for and expressed that. During the tow, his son scraped the back end of our truck along the side on the garage door opening and did damage to the truck as well as the garage. Im certain it was an accident but nonetheless, they are a company that should have insurance and regardless of what he charged me, they should fix the truck. We shouldnt have to. I messaged him that evening informing him. He said he would take care of it bc he had a body repair business for over 20 yrs and he would get ahold of me that wknd. Numerous messages later....I have yet to get a direct response or attempt to fix my sons vehicle. Having owned and managed several businesses I can tell you that whether I hook someone up or not.....it is my responsibility as the owner/manager to ensure quality and customer satisfaction. Having said that.....while I received no paperwork that day I have all the text messages, inbox messages and can obtain a report from the dealership as to who delivered the truck. My question is....How would you go about what to do next? I honestly dont want to have to go to small claims court and hold them responsible for all court fees, etc. to get the truck repairs reimbursed if we have to take that route bc it will end up costing a lot more than if he just held up to his responsibility, but I will. What would you do and has anyone else any issues w Tilford Towing?
