So… Orion was targeted to lift-off at 7:05 AM this morning on a Delta IV Heavy. Aborted once due to fouled range (boat wandering where it shouldnt)… then that resolved, and there was a wind hold at T-8ish, recycled and tried again, and on the third attempt wind aborted it again at T-3m3s. The launch window still gas 1h38m, and they can recycle to about T-9m, so theres plenty of time… but ground winds (unfortunately from the north) are the current issue. There are some spectator sports that are edge-of-the-seat exciting because you understand the amazing, stunning, incredibly rare thing that you are witnessing. This is one of those. In some ways it feels like Im standing on the Causeway, waiting for Columbia to liftoff (the only launch Ive seen in person).
