So, Palestinians will soon be able to apply to the ICC for remedy against what they perceive to be Israeli crimes against them and, presumably, vice versa if Israel follows broadly the same path. And, with such a flurry of accusations being made and legal depositions taken, can the overall situation itself ever expect to benefit from the outcome of all these investigations? Or will the bulk of judgements in favour of one side become largely offset by those for the other? In the final analysis, everything may boil down to the same sterile argument that has caused the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to remain much as it has always been for decades. Deadlocked. Then why not go down a somewhat different route, one that capitalises on the procedure in a most original fashion and, in doing so, avoids confusing the issues still further for everyone?
