So, Pat and I had this up our sleeves for over a week now. It was really hard to keep it from everybody, so only a select few folks knew, because I couldnt keep my mouth shut. Neither Pat or myself, as individuals, ever really cared for the thought of marriage, but when you meet the right person things sorta change I guess lol. I am a mix of emotions; excited, anxious, happy, love, giddy, scared, nostalgic, and a little sad. Sad because the little girl inside of me doesnt want me to leave her behind. And this is where I get tears in my eyes haha! But no, for real. I am so happy to be engaged to the best guy that Ive ever known, and it is so insane to look back 3, 4, 5 years and see how far Ive come and how much Ive grown. Somebody told me, after the devastation of my last serious relationship, that the next person who came into my life was going to be the one...and she was absolutely 100% correct. He came at a very difficult and trying time in my life and I wasnt very welcoming at all, but he persisted, and here we are, almost 3 years later. Best friends, allies, partners in crime, buddies, and the list of love goes on and on. And like I said...keep your mouths shut from my grandma or Ill knock you into the next galaxy. Love you all, goodnight
