So Ponder this… God created us the way we are… ya.. with faults, weaknesses and a full range of emotions. But you know what…none of us were mistakes. God knew us, He had a plan for each of us…He knew who we would become.. even before we were created. His intention is for us to give our lives to Jesus, be filled with the Holy Spirit and be changed from the inside out into the people He has called us to be… This all by our choice and happens through faith in Jesus. We have to give ourselves over to Him. Isnt it amazing to know that God not only can, but He actually desires to use us right where we are, everyday!! WOW.. what a blessing to serve the only true and living God!! In 2 Corinthians 4:7 it is written” We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.” I know that God has a purpose for each of us. We were created for this purpose. We were not created to be robots.. nope..He created us with freedom of choice. We as Followers of Jesus have to make choices each day.. to spend time with Him, to read His mighty Word and listen to that still small voice… the Holy Spirit of God. To make choices in line with His Word and walk in the Way of the Lord.. this is the will of our Heavenly Father. In Zechariah it is written “Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.” . The doctrine or religion of man will not work, but the touch of God on another person as God works through us can be life changing. If we will only yield ourselves to the Spirit of God and allow Him to move in us and through us.. well, awesome things will begin to take place. I believe that our Lord desires His Word to produce the evidence of this life changing power in us. Are you allowing the Spirit of God to flow through you so that He may touch other people’s lives? I encourage you today brothers and sisters.. spend time in prayer and in study of the Word… place your relationship with Jesus first in your life. Then GO… let the Spirit flow…let your light shine among men and reach out to others, in love… in Jesus name!! ~Dave H. SHCM
