So... Ron and I went and watched Noah. I had read the bad reviews. I had heard a lot of religious people talk about how pagan it was and how it did not follow the Bible. One blogger was so disgusted that they said they needed a shower when they got home to wash away the filth. Well, they were right that it did not follow the Bible. Duh. (That was pretty evident with the rock angels, just for starters.) I KNEW it was just a movie. I KNEW it was made by an atheist. I was curious as to how he would handle the subject matter. Here it comes -- I really liked the movie. It had interesting symbolism. The special affects were great and the acting was very good. I took it at face value - it was a work of fiction from Hollywood. In that venue, it was VERY good. It seemed to have an obvious agenda about respecting the earth, etc. but it did not make me want to go home and shower. And, as Ron and I discussed on the way home, God uses things that we would never imagine to reach people. Who knows how many people will go and do their own research? I mean, God even spoke through a jackass once. He makes his words heard using all sorts of strange and interesting methods. I know this might spark some controversy from my diverse group of friends but that doesnt bother me, because I know whose I am. :D
