So Russia is complaining that NATO has stepped up its commitment to its members in the east. Have they moved 10,000 troops to Latvia ? NO Have they sent special forces into Poland to overtake the parliament to install a pro-Eu government. NO They have removed all military and civilian NATO co-operation with Russia. They have increased the number of NATO aircraft supporting eastern NATO members air borders. They have started and improved plans to support NATOs east partners. They are thinking of staging troops closer to the Russian boarder. NATO does not trust Russian intentions. Russian gunboat diplomacy rewards is a better prepared NATO if they try it again.
