Well first off... * Top players produce in BIG games. Steven Gerrard is still the only player to score in FA, League, UEFA and European Cup finals. I had a mooch round HMV and couldnt find a dvd of The Scholes Final anywhere. * Many people believe that Gerrard is the greatest player ever to play for the reds. Scholes, as good a player as he was, wouldnt come within a MILE of our All Time Best XI. Wouldnt make the bench. Fact. * Are we talking about the same era when Liverpool won 3 times in 4 years at Old Trafford? Man of the Match on each occasion? Steven Gerrard. Or what about when Gerrard left Bartez clutching at thin air like a nob after barging Keane off the ball and unleashing yet another rocket? That was 1 of 7 goals to date against Utd. More than Scholes and Keane have managed combined against Liverpool. There was also the 2003 League Cup Final where Gerrard scored the first in a 2-0 win and won the Man of the Match award. His Midfield opponents that day? Scholes and Keane. So after retiring from football management, maybe you should retire from talking/writing complete and utter BOLLOCKS too.
