So Sri Lanka.....you showed us EVERYTHING! We feasted on fresh oysters and drank champagne in Colombo. We bathed elephant orphans and charmed snakes. Visited kooky and colonial hotels in the hills packed with history, memories and emotions that we got to be a part of. We rode in a hot air balloon over the jungle at sunrise, did a spice tour of traditional medicine and experienced local medicinal massages, roamed and horse rode through the tea plantations and learnt how they are cultivated. We ate some of the best curries, met and spent time with the number 1 driver in the world Iroshian!!!! Met some of THE MOST genuinely friendly people weve ever met, marvelled in the botanical gardens, ate too many Avacardos, did the most stunning train ride ever hanging out of the open carriage door the entire way, bathed in waterfalls, slept in tree houses and mud huts, basked in the sun on exquisite empty beaches. Slept in luxury tents in yala park and safaried spotting leopards, crocodiles, elephants, and a plethora of vibrant birds accompanied with our cheeky g+t flask! Swam with a BLUE WHALE! Ate lobster, surfed some amazing waves, rested inbetween breaks watching turtles pop up all around us! Wandered inside the walls of an old fort and got to touch and experience the history it held. THE AMAZING SRI LANKA, served best with a handful of amazing friends. Thank you Lina Lenander Fernando Aquiyama Taimaz Pdpp and my wonderful husband Matt Pickles........what a trip of a lifetime!
