So The interview went very well! Ummmmm a half hour that turned into an hour long conversation. The three person panel consist of the State Human resource director, State Director of Correctional Community outreach and services, and my direct supervisor. Who is a Shaker Heights resident. I dont him personal but he knew me. Sometimes our hard moments in life prepare us for our best or blessed things in life. My experience that brought me to change career was the death of my girls. The growing pains and challenges have given me a different perspective about people and circumstances. I judge less and love me. My potential new place of employment is literally across the street from my girls resting place. 7mins from my house to be on time :)!!!! I prayed last night and ask God what makes you think I am really ready for this position. My peace came with this scripture God works all things together for the good for of them he loves and are called according to His purpose. I am not afraid to step in the mud with someone and be with them there because God did that for me. If someone doesnt have faith in the same way I do my job is just to love them as I want to be loved. God does the rest in that persons life. Real talk here.... I think interviewing is much like a first date. You need to be yourself with some common sense but definitely one needs to be themselves. Everyone might look well on paper but its all about the chemistry between the people your working with as well as the organization itself. There was much chemistry with my approach to ministry, public speaking,Volunteering, community service, and compassion for young people. Super excited for tomorrow. I was asked back for a tour and to meet the new Superintendent of the Correctional Facility. Finally, I asked them one thing about what they saw in the interview that made me stand out. All three of them answered your sense of humor and passion for the job!
