So... There is a common misconception that the word Xmas stems from a secular attempt to remove the religious tradition from Christmas by taking the Christ out of Christmas, but its use dates back to the 16th century... The -mas part is from the Latin-derived Old English word for Mass, while the X comes from the Greek letter Chi, which is the first letter of the Greek word Χριστός which translates into English as Christ. Christ comes from a Greek word meaning anointed... 👌 So, please stop trying to Put the Christ back in Christmas... No one is getting rid of it. 😉 Also... It doesnt mean you are being Antichrist if you say Happy Holidays! to other people... It is just respectful to say that to others... Also, there are a few Holidays between October and January... Figured Id let you know, in case you were uncertain. 😜 So, it is definitely fitting to say Happy Holidays! Dont make the Holidays a time to take stabs at anyone of any different Religion or Denomination than yourself. 😉 Whether you are celebrating the birth of Jesus, a fat man in a red suit coming to your house with gifts, or commemorating the rededication of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem, WE ALL should be gracious and cheerful to everyone else... ❤ With that being said, I hope you all have a very Merry Holiday Celebration! 😘 Remember: Its not about the presents... But the PRESENCE! Its all about who youre with and who you have, not what you get from them. 😉
