So This week marks the 10 year anniversary of World of Warcraft, and 20 years of Warcraft. If you are a nerdy type this is not new news..... But I thought I would share with folks how this game has had a cultural impact on how people have interacted, made friends and even found love. Some of my closest friends ever I have met on the battlefields of Azeroth, Draenor and beyond. My love of fantasy, strategy and RPGs drew me to the game as well as very little money for a social life. Buying the game and subsequent expansions along with a $15 a month subscription has kept me out of seedy bars, mischief and sometimes the sunlight. But it also brought me much more out of a timid introverted shell I lived in through my teens and 20s. This year for the anniversary a documentary was released following many people and the game over its ten years and beyond.
