So. Today was special. Among many many other weird things that happened today, my manager found a dog running thru the parking lot at work. He caught the dog, who was collared and tagged. Somehow the owner found him very quickly. The dog had escaped from the car the woman had left him in. Instead of being a responsible dog owner, she LEFT the dog with my manager while she continues her grocery shopping. So. The dog escaped from a hot car, because the lady left him so she could shop. I hate people. So, I got called over to sit with the dog until she came back. When she did come back in (a half hour later), she tells me, smiling, I dont know how she got out of the car! To which I firmly responded, Thats why I dont leave my dog in a hot car while I go grocery shopping. She never responded. She should be glad she didnt get hurt. She couldve been killed in the street!!! Or died of heatstroke if she didnt escape. Im going to contact the rescue organization the lady got the dog from (she still had her rescue tags) and report the incident. People suck. DONT LEAVE YOUR DOG IN THE CAR.
