So, Tuesday Roger and I went to the orthopedic doctor in Syracuse - TopicsExpress

So, Tuesday Roger and I went to the orthopedic doctor in Syracuse at SOS...Roger was examined and was told that he probably has arthritis, and more than likely tore something...Then the doctor went on to say if he sees anything torn, he wont be able to do surgery because Roger takes Plavix...Why? Hes afraid of blood clots because they have to tourniquet the leg in order to do surgery...He then gives him a cortisone shot in the knee and has him do physical therapy 2 - 3 times...oh, and seeing this is a workers Compensation case, the doctor said hes only 50% disabled and can only do light duty...I said there is no such thing in Rogers occupation...Now, Roger is in worse shape than before and the physical therapist cant believe hes going back to work...She says he definitely tore something... OK...So I said hes allowed a second opinion...I just cant believe they cant operate...I mean, they do knee replacements on elderly people all the time and you cant tell me none of them are on blood thinners...Rogers young still and I cant imagine living with this the rest of his life...Need suggestions please.... Thanks!
