So Uber sent me an email saying my first ride with them was free. I used it for the first time and didnt get it for free. Emailed support and they were confused because there was a promo on my account that supposedly was a US promo (to clarify the promo had nothing to do with the first ride promo. It was a referral promo from a friend for just $30 off next ride). I copied and pasted the intro email Uber sent 3 times as they didnt seem to get what I was asking. They finally said (paraphrasing), Oh sorry about that. We cant give you a refund. That was it. No offer for a discount, credit, nothing. I had to literally ask if I could get a credit. They gave me $10. Four times less than what the original ride was for. Its not about me wanting the ride for free or fighting for my money back, but when you offer it to first time users, the support team supposedly has no idea about it, and then offer me a credit far less than what the ride was? Im sorry that pisses me off. I have no idea what to do in this situation.
