So Unite does nil and not worth paying? Well maybe you need to think again. Due to members comments I am currently working on your behalf as follows :- 1. I am querying the official status of York Cars minibuses also operating as normal PH vehicles yet working under DVSA (old VOSA) bus rules. 2. I am in negotiation with YCC personnel over the dangerous A boards on the roads and elsewhere. Already got some removed but still on-going. 3. I am in contact with YCC personnel over the closure of night toilets. Well we all know how bad they were but better than nil. There are some still open and some to be re-opened but all will charge you 40p a time !! 4. I am in on-going contact with the local MP regarding the possibility of Uber coming to York. 5. Allan Davies of ITA, with support from myself, has been tackling the weekend problem of three queues at Duncombe Place. This is a recipe for trouble. The net result is, whilst the council will not support better signage, they are soon going to put an A4 sign on the lamp post at the old Head of Rank to explain new one down nearer Blake Street. May we make a plea to all drivers to use the new HOR when this sign is up. Thanks JK
