So. We have hemophilia clinic tomorrow and, even though the boy is lookin good (no bumps, bruises, ect.), I decide it best give him an infusion. While Im setting up, Thomas is telling me about how much he likes hemophilia. No specific reasons...he just does. He even, hilariously, includes this bit about how hemophilia smells. What? Who knows. Anyways....what do I then do? I miss his port. Total. Mom. FAIL. I couldnt readjust the needle & had to pull it out..then, with blood trickling down his chest, run to grab a new one & stick him a 2nd (successful!) time. Hes fine & he forgave my miss (we both know infusions wont be perfect every single time)...but still...what horrible timing! #hemolife #momfail #ambitousbleeder #miniwarmachine
