So, Wyatt sees the Noah billboard and asks if ark is another word for boat (hes nine) but we get into this discussion about how Im not sure because there was also this thing called the ark of the covenant and that it was a wooden box. And then, perhaps its symbolic because a covenant is a sort of promise. Which all gets me thinking...A) wow, how cool is it that I get to have profound discussions with my 9yo and B) What an amazing book to be exposed to at a young age, that has layer upon layer of symbolism, foreshadowing, metaphor, and prose. I mean, it is THE book in my life for other reasons BUT what an example for an author and reader to get to know at such a young age!!!! Just sayin...thankful.
