So... You should have to win your conference championship to make - TopicsExpress

So... You should have to win your conference championship to make the playoffs huh? So... defense wins championships huh? Well, then explain to me how in the hell youll be able to justify 2-4 one loss SEC teams sitting out while this BS makes a playoff seed. Ill never forget the all SEC Natl Champ game, LSU vs Bama, meanwhile #3 Arkansas, 2 loss team(losing modestly to the two teams in the BCS champ game), set out and ended up in the Cotton Bowl, because you can only have two teams(max) from a conference in a BCS bowl. Well, yeah we finally got a playoff system, but I assure you, the selection will still be jacked up. We all know the SEC... hell, the SEC West, could be an NFL division. W/that being said, at times having as many as six teams in the top 10 AP/BCS polls, I personally think if the cleat fits... wear it. If theres an all SEC playoff, rightfully so. Its the same in any sport, if one party is dominating, dont dumb down a damn thing, the rest of you cats need to step up. If youre tired of seeing the same schools, from the same conference win, well... my advice is the surrounding conferences need to find a new gear. Well, FSU won a championship... sure thing, and let me leave you w/this. FSU/Bowden have had SEC ties since inception of that football program. FSU is nothing more than a Shadow SEC team, always have been. Dont believe me... where and who do they recruit against. The majority of their players come from where? You got it, SEC overflow. It happens every few yrs, teams who normally cant recruit against Bama, Auburn, LSU, etc., find great talents. Talents who arent entirely sure if theyll start or sit behind a McCarron, a Newton, and so on. So you get Prescott at MSU, Wallace at Ole Miss, hell... all the way back in the day of Tim Couch at Kentucky. Point being, the south is the south is the south. FSU only gets invited to join the SEC what, every 10yrs or so? Moral of the story... fair is fair, and the SEC is just better, if it comes down to letting the same ol same ol happen, two sec teams sitting out so we can have 8-4 GT in the playoffs(just like the orange so many yrs before)and the almighty Buckeyes of The Ohio St, Big 10 champs, who look horrific, but hey, theyre conference champs... Or even worse, a sketchy Duck team that got shanked by a mildly talented Wildcat team in Eugene. All Ive heard this yr week to week, the strength of the Pac-12 QB play, Whats your top four playoff spots today and the decline of the SEC. Well, let them Ducks fly south for the winter and see what they get. Duck Dynasty my a**!!! I hope Im wrong, but come playoff seeding time, we may screaming for them to bring back the BCS and their magic computers. College football... its what we do down here. #itsallaboutthesouth
