So.. a brief resume of the disastrous transfer window: IN COMING: Dier (who everyone would agree has started his Spurs career on fire), Fazio (captain of Europa League winners), Stambouie (captain of Montpellier), Vorm (Dutch international keeper as COVER), Yedlin (great looking prospect) and Davies (full international with better stats than 30M Shaw) OUTGOING: Dawson (great character but pretty much all of us could see he struggled for 18 months with pace of the prem) Siggy (again, lovely fella but did he ever, truly look the part consistently?), Fryers (never really looked the part), Falque (never really looked the part.. and couldnt break into 1st team under FOUR different managers) Sandro (great crazy character, made funny videos and kissed the badge.. and i too liked him as a player.. but come on, did he reeeeally ever play consistently well enough even when injury-free?) I read some of the hysteria on here amd cringe. Do you lot know better than Pochetino then?? He clearly didnt really fancy a new striker because itcseems no concerted effort was made to get one and (so far at least) I havent heard Pochetino moaning that we missed out on any (perhaps hes happy with the 3 he has to cover his preferred one-up-front formation... maybe even with a bid for a fit-again Rodriguez in January lined up?), yet you guys are getting twisted up cos Spurs didnt throw £25M at Bony? Strangely enough.. probably the same people who orgasmed over last years 27M-ish purchase of the now much maligned Soldado. As detailed above.. weve actually bought in 6 players. But because none of them were exciting, 11.55pm touch-&-go deals.. it seems Levy has done nothing. Ah yes.. blame Levy. And quicker than your hero Sandro could kiss his QPR badge (which was VERY quick), we have folk moaning cos Spurs have come through the window with a 2M profit. Perish the thought THFC have not got a net deficit... being in the black; a sure sign of non-ambition. Some of you lot (whilst I would never doubt your passion and love for THFC) need a reality check. Pinch yourselves.. We cant afford true superstar wages, we cant offer genuine Champions League or title chasing prospects. Falcao, Costa, Di Maria etc were never options. But.... We have a manager who so far looks the part... why not trust his judgement for at least a little while before you start with the snidey digs at his matchday clothes, his alleged childhood allegience to a club other than Spurs or his lack of correct pronunciation. Lets see where Poch has THFC in a few months before we write off the future. But then again... some Spurs fans couldnt cope with nothing to whine about....
