So a few legislators were caught taking envelopes of cash. The obvious reform would be to ban envelopes of cash, a bill I introduced. But predictably, some have grossly over-reacted and are calling to eliminate everyperceived benefit legislators have. Some of proposed reforms? = No more air-conditioning in legislators offices. = Legislative pay will be reduced from $84,000 per year to 2 buckets of chicken = Legislators offices will be moved from the capitol to a Kiosk in the Mall across the street = Travel reimbursement reduced from $.58 per mile to a text message saying wow, that was quite a ride! = Approved Legislative Conferences limited to conferences on what its like to not get funding to go to conferences = Size of the legislature reduced to 3 dudes with an I-PAD = Legislative Caucus rooms shared with The Shriners. = Health coverage for lawmakers replaced with URL for Self-Diagnose = New, exciting Pay Toilets. Pay to get in, and pay again to get out! Its amazing how some legislators have so little respect for the profession they are in.
