So a few things.. 1. Leia will be pronounced Lay-Uh. Ive only been asked about 15, so I thought Id clear that up. Yes, Leia like Princess Leia from Star Wars. No, believe it or not, it was not picked because of Star Wars. I actually picked out the name, fell in love with it, even more so after seeing the Hawaiian meaning of the name is child of heaven and mentioned it to Chris. As much as a nerd as Chris is, hes not that obsessed with Star Wars, he also just liked the name. So Leia is the name. Its not changing. 2. Youre entitled to not like the name. Everyone has different tastes and there are names I also dont like that you might. It does NOT make it okay for people to ridicule the name I have picked for MY child. The next time you get pregnant with my baby, Ill gladly take your input. But seeing as how that probably wont happen, you should stay might quiet on the subject. Or at least tell someone else you dont like our name choice. I had to put up with the same crap when we chose Sonjas name and Im not dealing with it again. 3. Please have the common courtesy to be a decent human being and consider someone elses feelings before you rudely spout off your opinions. I could careless if you have no brain-to-mouth filter, theres no excuse to be rude. Especially when youre talking to a hormonal pregnant lady. 4. If you think this is directed at you, it probably is. You clearly were rude. Youre welcome for being told how to handle yourself around a pregnant lady and to think before you speak and to be a considerate human being. Ill get off my soapbox now 😑
