So a group of us got together at Odd 13 in Lafayette yesterday for some fracking banter and a couple of beers. Somewhere in the conversation we were talking about the terrible feeling one get the moment we are told that it is illegal to ban fracking, and what that means to ourselves and families. In Lafayette after several months of debate we decided to go after the laws that force thing like fracking on us, as well as banning the process itself. We did that through the assistance of the Community Environmental Legal Defense Fund. Here, talking about the law that supports all of these types of industries and the organizing strategy of Community Rights is Thomas Linzey, exec director of CELDF. I think you may appreciate this talk of his. vimeo/61778883
