Rainy City Roller Girls 269 : 145 Royal Windsor Rollergirls A virgin Sport Court floor, a brand new rule set, and a small matter of condensation, all combined to make for breathlessly fast gameplay at times, with an express lane penalty box lessening the impact of power jams (good) but not doing away with passive offense (bad). However, in this instance it also came at the end of the first day of a WFTDA Officiating Clinics Program event so its likely the officials had been discussing nothing but the new rules - and their implmentation - all day, resulting in no official reviews and only a handful of Official Time Outs (that were strictly on-track gameplay-related). The scoreline doesnt do justice to the bout - or the teams - and if the audience hadnt been regularly updated I doubt they could have said who had won come the final whistle.
