So a lot of you have sent me messages or notes saying you missed the beginning of my email. There is really no point in holding back any more. I cant believe Ive held onto this almost a week. Here is my press release for the masses. So. I have been harboring a secret. Its pretty big. Some of you knew I have been looking into it but it is official- I have been accepted into the Upright Citizens Brigade Improv and Sketch Comedy program. Unfortunately I had to automatically defer for about a year-although classes start on a rolling basis in NY because of a. Money and b. My health just getting to the stable point but there is a HUGE probability that I am going to be training in the theater/school that my idol Amy Poehler founded. And even bigger news: I might move to Chicago to do it. I was accepted in NY but the writing program (and the atmosphere for starting comedy writers) is much better in Chicago. Im really considering it. I can not even. Hey...I lived in Europe, which they tell me is a whole other Country why not Chicago-another State!!! ;) I should clarify that Chicago is NOT A DEFINITE!!! Chicago does not have an actual UCB theater anymore but they do have a Sister writing school that the gentleman I was speaking with said is where most people who want to concentrate in writing go. I would be perfectly happy starting in NY, then Chicago, then LA, then the Red Carpet, then Stockholm to accept the first Nobel Prize in Humanistic Literature (a category created just for me). So thats it. Thanks to all for your support. I am beyond thrilled and you will all get mentioned in my book (if you send $2 or a candy bar...Ill accept Starbucks Gift Cards as well).
