So, a quick update on Izzie. I know some of you really want to know, and its therapeutic in some strange way to type it out. Shes had a relatively quiet day....Praise You Jesus!!! They are beginning to slowly ween some of her meds and this afternoon they placed a pic line (to hopefully allow for removal of the arterial line tomorrow). She also got an NJ tube earlier today. Theyre doing trial runs with her breathing off the ventilator and hope to try taking her off of it tomorrow. Slow baby steps, but progress. I was able to watch them add glue to her zipper (chest scar) and it looks pretty good (although my slight OCD came out when I told the nurse that its off-center). Seriously. Its off-center. Anyway, were all feeling hopeful that last nights fight with BP is over and shes on the road to a more stable recovery. Love her nurse today! She was all about decorating her bed with blankets I brought from home and even let her wear her leg warmers and bow. She looks more like Izzie and I love it!!!Please pray for continued peace and rest tonight...lots of hurdles tomorrow!
