So a quick update on my happenings lately. There are two areas being focused on right now, to a lesser level, I had an MRI last week of my abdominal wall. There was a mass that was discovered so we are looking at a more detailed level at what that mass may be and the next steps taken (removal, biopsy or that it doesnt appear to be a threat so just leave it alone). To a much more serious level, I have quite a few swollen lymph nodes in my neck, and one particular mass at the base of my skull. After a CT scan it shows that its a large nodular density (some think it may be a huge lymph node, others think it is not a lymph node and are unsure what the mass may be) that needs clinical evaluations and two lymph nodes that are 7mm and 8mm... which swell to larger sizes from time to time which also need evaluations? I had some trauma to the large nodular density two days ago which has put me in a level of debilitating pain. I received two anti-inflammatory shots yesterday morning, which did not relieve the pain or reduce the swelling. Last night I received one more anti-inflammatory shot and a heavy steroid injection which after about 9 hours has shown major improvements. This should buy me time for my Tuesday appointment with a Head and Neck surgeon at which time, hopefully a decision will be made to either biopsy the nodes and nodular density or schedule surgery to remove all or one of them. Im hoping the steroid can hold me through till Tuesday and that we can get some answers. Until then Im just keeping things really low key and trying not to stress out. These puppies have been major migraine triggers so much so that I have lost my vision in my left eye. I am working with a neuro optomologist who is optimistic that I will get my vision back (if not all, some)... but I need to be very careful and ensure all migraines on the right side are addressed immediately to help ensure my right eye maintains its vision quality. So Ive got a lot going on, but trying to remain optimistic and hold on to my faith and pray that this all comes to a positive end very soon. Ralph and Ashley have been absolutely amazing my absolute rocks, for never giving up on me. To my Mom, Dad and sister for their support, love, research, babysitting and pushing me to keep trying no matter how stubborn I get, to my Aunt Maureen and Aunt Kathleen for their spiritual guidance and support. A shout out to my new online pal Paola for her messages and advice during this challenging time. To everyone else for their prayers, well wishes, checking in on me and many offers to help, babysit, keep me company etc. Honestly it is the combination of my family, friends, and Facebook family and friends that keep pulling me out of some deep holes and bringing me back to solid ground. I love you all!
