So a representative from Spark Energy came to our door claiming to be able to save us money with National Grid. He used some smooth talking and promised that they had a B+ with the better business bureau. Before I knew it, we were signed up. After doing some research, I saw that they had terrible reviews and the BBB did not give them a rating or accredit them. I called the representative back and explained that they did not have the rating that he said they had. He told me I was wrong, and to call this number to cancel if we wish. The representative called me back and told me that their office had moved to Baltimore, and that office had a A- rating (they are still not BBB approved). We are only given 3 days to cancel, unfortunately, 2 of those days the office is closed. Very convenient for the company that wants to rope us into a 12 month contract. I have to call on Monday and hope to get this resolved. Yay.
