So a small splinter group from the WAAPD group has asked upon the MHA to investigate into the group. I strongly recommend against signing that petition, because the last thing we need now is executive overreach. My discomfort with executive power is that the more we use it the more dependent we are on the State settling every single squabble of its citizens. So I would caution against any investigation of the sort that they are suggesting - if MHA is involved, ISD might be. Moreover, we have a lot of tools that they are empowered to use. Detention without trial, no access to lawyers; all these are very undemocratic processes. Every time we do that, we entrench ourselves even further into this unnatural, authoritarian state of things. Ironically, its not people who are pro-LGBT who are asking for the investigation, but someone of their own camp, which shows how they perceive the State.
