So a sump pump failure in the old house led to a food of biblical proportions in the basement right as we were moving. The end result is that all my holiday decorations and our tree were destroyed. This year I have to pull all new stuff out of thin air. 20 years of decorations and little special things for Christmas (like each child had a little mini tree and lights and ornaments for their rooms) just gone. I think I have a tree lined up, but it may be bare. A minimalist Christmas, lol. But as you began to put up your holiday trimmings, if you are like I was, I had so much random stuff that never even came out of the box. If you have excess that is going to waste this year, give me a yell. Not above taking donations of old lights or ornaments for the tree. The extra expense of buying all new decor this time of year is not really feasible for us. Yup I am hobo begging on Facebook. This is my life now.
