So about 2 weeks ago we found out that one of our babies had a mass on his spleen, we went ahead and had the surgery asap and removed the tumor. The vet ran extra test and checked his liver and chest, both looked clear. They sent the mass away to the lab but when it came back the results were malignant .. I was still hopeful as the vet had said he looked like it hasnt spread. Then when we went back to have his staples out and talk about the results, she said he had about 3 months! I was/am devastated. I thought the fact that it hadnt spread would have been a good sign.. She suggested Chemo but then said it would only prolong his life another few months perhaps 6-9 total. I dont know what to do, is Chemo going to make him sick? Am I being selfish wanting to hold on to him another couple of months, especially if they are not quality months for him? He is such a loving and gorgeous boy, my heart breaks every time I even think about this.. Maybe its time for snuggles and cuddles?
