So, about this time 3 years ago, this guy comes up to me at one of the No on 26 and 27 rallies we had and starts talking to me about how he saw me on Facebook saying something about Rhymesayers and that he was from Minneapolis and loved the label as well. So we chatted. He was wearing what looked to me like a beret. Turns out he wasnt French, but just an asshole, so halfway there I guess. Anyway, we became quick friends and started hanging out all the time. I had this impression, and he confirmed it later, that he was determined for us to become friends because of our shared interests and what not. And I am glad he did. We have become the best of friends, brothers in a sense really, as he ranks right up there with the all time pals in my life. We dont always agree, and he knows more about the square footage of my house than I do, but we always have a great time, no matter how ridiculous and drunken our shenanigans are. And they can reach epic levels of ridiculous. Happy birthday Ian Hanson. You might not be French, or an asshole really, but youll do.
