So, after 2 weeks in Astana, Kazakhstan (one week longer than desired or needed, thanks Bek air!) I have returned to Mongolia to finish off my project because of the delay in Kazakhstan I am now here until the 30th of January where I will continue my journey. Astana is a confused city trying to build its identity with excessive money and the best architects. It is built on a steppe and is flat to the horizon, besides the skyscrapers. I am thankful for my Mongolian friends who have helped me out a lot in the city. The Kazakh people are generally very kind, except Bek air, and they are working to use their oil and gas money for the future. After I got back from Kazakhstan I visited the Kazakh eagle hunters in Bayern Olgii where I mountain climbed on a horse with them to use the eagle to catch a fox (which he did). It was a truly amazing experience even though I had a very close encounter regarding a spooked horse and a foot in a stirrup I am fine and well and ready to continue my adventure.
