So after a few last ditch attempts, we learnt today that despite having top health insurance, life insurance, trauma cover with our insurance and god knows what else insurance, it doesnt mean jack shit if you have a congenital condition. So although Patrick never asked to be born with broken heart and I didnt know he had a congenital heart condition until he was 3 years old, our insurers wont pay out on trauma cover for him. If hed had the extreme misfortune to get cancer, or HIV, or a brain tumour, or any other shitty health condition we could claim. But not a congenital heart defect.
